Our fast growing marketing agency is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Paid Search Manager. Reporting to the Head of Paid Search & Operations, we’re looking for a permanent, full time Paid Search Manager to join our team in Sydney. After a big growth period in 2015 we’re looking for someone to take ownership of several key paid search accounts within Australia and the United Kingdom. Duties of the role include:

  • Day-to-day optimisation of paid search accounts across Google, Bing and in some circumstances Baidu.
  • Weekly performance reports and insights to send to clients.
  • Come up with a testing strategy on a weekly basis in order to get the best results for clients.
  • Client communication is a key factor in the role and the ability to articulate ideas and theories about paid search to clients.
  • There will be a requirement to step into a broader role from time-to-time to take on duties such as social media marketing and occasionally RTB display marketing.

You will need to be business-savvy, and understand the impact of your recommendations and solutions in terms of client KPIs and ROI. You will be responsible for SEO outreach across a select number of our clients as well as being part of the implementation team.

Having a good understanding of display advertising, SEO and web design, plus be able to communicate effectively with internal and customers marketing teams will be highly beneficial and preferably have previously worked within the gambling, gaming or sports industry.

A background encompassing agency life will be essential as is the ability to manage and motivate across departments, a good knowledge of digital performance marketing while ensuring the successful delivery of work on time and to budget. The candidate must also possess great communication skills, and must be confident in handling client and internal meetings, and attending new business pitches (in support of the business development team).

This role is based in our Australian office / available for remote working.

Experience

  • 6-12 months experience running paid search campaigns either agency or client side
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Adwords and Bing Ads and certified
  • Some experience or knowledge of other Google products is an advantage, e.g. Analytics, Tag Manager, Campaign Manager
  • Familiarity with tracking as this will be an essential part of the job
  • A performance-led attitude and mindset is a must for us, you should be familiar with aiming to hit key performance indicator metrics such as cost-per-acquisition and return-on-investment
  • An outgoing individual who can work well within a team environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of bid management tools like Kenshoo, IgnitionOne or DS3 but in particular Marin
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Proven experience in retrieving, interpreting and reporting data
  • Experience in writing and producing client reports
  • Exemplary time management skills, able to prioritise and work well under pressure
